John Wilson of Placerville, CA caught and released
this beautiful blue marlin estimated at 650-700 lbs. This
fish did everything right!! The fish made a beautiful bite
on the left rigger and an acrobatic fight jumping several
times broadside to the boat showing off its huge girth.
The fish would have been one of the largest if not the largest
fish of the year caught on board the Humdinger, however,
due to the conservation minded effort by Wilson, this exceptional
blue marlin was tagged and released in excellent condition
to fight another day! This was the second marlin of the
day for Wilson and company who went on to catch four blue
marlin over two days.

Jim and Maunda Howeson doubled up on two bull Mahi
Mahi's 48 lbs and 22 lbs. The fish hit two small live baits
and chaos ensued in the cockpit shortly thereafter. Trying
to keep the lines from being crossed, Jim and Maunda executed
the task at hand masterfully and brought "Da'Bulls"
to gaff, and ultimately the dinner table. The very next
day, two more Mahi Mahi, exactly the same weight were caught.

bull Mahi Mahi. Like the charter the day before these fish
tipped the scales at 48 lbs and 22 pounds. These fish however
were caught hours apart and like the day before took a live
bait slow trolled for Blue Marlin.
